Superstar Salman Khan made an appearance on the much talked about show Bollywood Business with Trade expert Komal Nahta. He was on the show for his upcoming and eagerly awaited movie Dabangg2 which releases on 21st December. Komal Nahta talks to Salman about Dabangg, Dabangg2, Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan! This episode of Bollywood Business will be aired exclusively on Bollywood Busines, Zing, on 19 December at 2pm and 6:30pm – free on Sky 789 & Freesat 509.
Salman Khan today is the only actor who is bigger than the film he is doing. Salman starts by talking about how the script is the backbone of any movie and emphasizes on the fact that nobody is above the script. He highlights the fact that any film he does, is his responsibility, because the audience comes to the theatres to watch him, which is also the reason why he now puts his foot down if the director has a different take. He believes that the film is ultimately his responsibility and agrees to take the blame for a movie if it does not do well. He goes on to talk about how approximately 150 people are involved in making an average person a star- be it the makeup artist, music director or the light technicians.
Salman talks about how in today’s day and age if someone with the amount of talent that he has, comes into the industry, that person would never stand a chance. Looking back he feels that the time he entered the industry the competition was much lesser than it is today. “We were idiots, today everyone looks good” says Salman.
Getting personal on the show he reveals that he does not watch any of Katrina’s movies as he does not want to give her his opinion before her film releases, infact he has not even seen her latest hit Jab tak hai jaan. “I don’t like to see Katrina’s films and tell her she is not outstanding, for me a Madhuri or a Sridevi is outstanding. So there is no point disappointing her before her release” says Salman.
On being questioned about marriage he says he is a very difficult person to live with and he hasn’t thought about marriage till now. When it has to happen it will happen. Komal Nahta asks Salman as to why he thinks he is so difficult to live with to which he exclaims “you should ask my ex why I am difficult to live with!!” He also goes ahead to clear the air about him and Shah Rukh patching up at the premiere party of Jab tak hai jaan and clarifies that no such thing happened. They just happened to be under the same roof.
Discussing Dabangg 2 he speaks on how it is the second half of Dabangg and the plus point of the movie is that the romance between husband and wife starts after marriage. Salman also elaborates on why Arbaaz Khan is directing the sequel and not Dabangg’s director Abhinav Kashyap.
Do not forget to catch this candid interview only on Bollywood Business with Komal Nahta on 19 December at 2pm and 6:30pm on Zing.

It is common knowledge that once-upon-a-time-buddies Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan haven’t seen eye-to-eye following their fall-out a couple of years ago. All talks of a truce have fizzled out and a cold war persists between the two superstars. It is interesting, then, to note how Shah Rukh teamed up with Priyanka Chopra at the recently concluded Zee Cine Awards 2012 in Macau and took quite a few potshots at Salman.
As hosts of the awards ceremony, SRK and Piggy Chops were spoofing every movie nominated in the ‘Best Film’ category and Sallu’s Bodyguard was one amongst them. It all started with Priyanka showing up as Bodyguard Lovely Singh, her arms a good 6 inches away from her sides à la Salman’s trademark “macho” style. SRK naughtily suggested that “Lovely Singh” should reduce the amount of starch he uses for his clothes, that way his arms would stay straight. Priyanka went on to mimic Salman’s “international” accent. Shah Rukh also joked about why Salman’s character from the film is called ‘Lovely’ when his body is more like Bruce Lee? Jibes were made at how Salman’s shirt invariably tears itself up towards the climax of any film he does … ! All of this tomfoolery was followed by a hilarious dance to one of the Bodyguard tracks. Let’s hope Salman takes the comedy gag at his expense with a pinch of salt!

The recently concluded Zee Cine Awards 2012 saw several lifelong dreams come true. And one such dream was that of Zee TV’s leading ladies Mitali Nag (Krishna of Afsar Bitiya), Asha Negi (Poorvi of Pavitra Rishta) and Rati Pandey (Indira of Hitler Didi) when they had the opportunity of coming face-to-face and interacting with their heartthrob – superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
As if the news of their attending the glitzy, prestigious awards show in Macau was not enough to send the ladies over the moon, there was yet another delightful surprise to bowl them over when they landed there - A chance to be a part of the Indian and international media alongside the King Khan and ZEEL MD & CEO, Punit Goenka at a press conference on the day of the awards soirée.
At the press conference, when Mr Goenka asked SRK for his words of advice to the three leading ladies on reaching the pinnacle of success after having similarly started his career on television, Shah Rukh said in a lighter vein, “I have a tip for you three beautiful women – Just keep hugging me! Give me a hug in the morning, afternoon and evening daily and watch how your life just changes for the better…all those who have hugged me have had a successful life!” He then spoke philosophically, “As an actor, don’t ask your audience what they have given you … ask yourself what it is that YOU can give them as an actor.” Not about to let such a golden opportunity pass them by, the three ladies immediately huddled on stage to hug the hero they’ve loved and admired for so many years.
Speaking about their brush with the Badshaah of Bollywood, Asha Negi said, “Sharing the dias with Shah Rukh has been the absolute highlight of our entire Zee Cine Awards experience. He is so down to earth and charming, we were completely floored by him.” Rati Pandey said, “It took us a while to digest that we were actually hugging Shah Rukh Khan. He spoke so well at the press conference and his words of advice to us as an actor are something we will always cherish and live by! There’s just one regret that I am left with and that is the fact that I did not ask him when I will get the chance to work with him. I was too overwhelmed at the mere sight of SRK to think coherently and collect my thoughts”
Mitali Nag added. “If Krishna has a dream of becoming an officer, Mitali has always dreamt of meeting Shah Rukh Khan because I have been in love with him for over 15 years now….I just enjoyed the moment of sharing space with him at this prestigious platform…It’s a dream come true!”
At the awards soirée, later, the fabulous trio went up on stage and expressed their love and affection for their role model Vidya Balan who started her career as a Zee actress and has carved a distinct niche for herself in the film fraternity with bravura performances year after year. A visibly touched Vidya thanked the three ladies and blew kisses at them from the audience. All in all, the awards experience in Macau turned out to be something they will cherish for a lifetime.

As the host of the recently concluded Zee Cine Awards 2012 in Macau, superstar Shah Rukh Khan was neck-deep in rehearsals through the entire course of the two days that led up to the awards ceremony. So determined was Shah Rukh to put on a stellar act that he practically skipped his meals, let go of his sleep and rehearsed non-stop till 7:30am on the very day of the awards show, only to rehearse again by 10am and be ready for the press conference by 11am.
Even after the awards soirée drew to an end well past midnight, there was a small segment that remained to be shot with Shah Rukh requiring him to dance to his popular chartbuster Chammak Chhallo. The thorough professional that he is, Shah Rukh delivered the goods without as much as raising an eyebrow. In fact, insiders reveal that it was he who coached choreographer Shiamak Davar’s troupe on the steps of the ditty since the song sequence in question was from his film Ra.One and he was better acquainted with the steps.
A source revealed, “After the awards ceremony was over around 1:30am, we still had to shoot the Chammak Challo act with Shah Rukh and since it was meant to be one of those impromptu jigs, it was not entirely choreographed and rehearsed. Besides, as a team, we had not performed Chammak Challo in the past. So, planning the steps and shooting the act could well have turned into an all night-ordeal. Thankfully, Shah Rukh saved the situation. Chammak Challo, being an act he has performed to several times over, SRK took over the mantle of choreographer and showed us the steps. With his intervention, we were able to miraculously wrap up by 4am. He turned out to be such a God send! He even sweetly hugged all the dancers at the end for having stayed up so late to shoot. Such rare humility, positivity and the attitude to help us to put up a good show!”

It’s a common knowledge that “Mumbai’s rains and Salman’s mood are both unpredictable” and this makes every visit of Bollywood actor Salman Khan to the sets of Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar a day that is full of surprises and memorable experiences. Superstar Salman Khan’s appearance on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar was nothing less than a grand spectacle of thrills, candid moments and plenty of excitement for all present there. If you missed this special show, catch the repeat this Thursday and Friday @ 10am.
Sallu Bhai, as he’s affectionately called, had the contestants, judges and the audiences present give him a standing ovation when he made a spectacular entry on a Khatiya with a towel to boot. To add to it, his famous towel moves had all dancing in the audience.
Salman has huge fans among the Top 18 participants. They were all excited to meet their Idol in person and left no stone unturned to showcase their best performances for their favourite star. Being the holy month of Ramzan, one of the participant’s Khurram was to break his ‘Roza’ at 7 in the evening but he patiently waited for his ‘God’ to come and hand over his first morsel. It was an emotional moment when Salman handed Khurram a piece of date to break his Roza. With utmost admiration and awe, Khurram gifted Salman a beautiful ornate prayer mat as a token of his love and appreciation.
Salman is a huge believer in “sharing is caring”! He not only ordered his favourite Jain Pizza for himself but ordered another 150 pizzas for the participants and the audiences watching the shoot. Add to it, Salman Khan nonchalantly picked up the tab for the pizzas and insisted, “This one is on me”.
Being a Salman Khan special episode, Shreyasi, a Kolkata based singer beautifully sang the title track of ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. Another fan of Salman, Shreyasi has not missed his films and was particularly fond of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and she commented on her favourite scene in all innocence saying, “I felt very bad and helpless with the way Aishwarya had left you heartbroken in the end. Had I been her, I would have given up everything and married you!” Completely speechless and highly amused, Salman Khan with a mischievous grin looked at the control room and then towards Shreyasi and said, “Zee TV ko aapne aaj promo de diya hai!”
Not only the channel but Salman Khan also considers himself to be the lucky charm for Zee TV’s reality shows. Salman is considered more like a family member than a celebrity when he is on the sets and he never fails in bringing a smile on everyone’s face with his charming antics and sense of humour. He was at the show also promoting his latest release Dabaang.
If you missed this special show, catch the repeat this Thursday and Friday @ 10am on Zee TV!

When bollywood superstar Salman Khan decides to have some fun, he knows how to get the whole world rocking with him! For those who’ve experienced Salman Khan’s antics in the previous seasons of Dance India Dance and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, there’s even more dhamaal and masti coming with Salman’s latest visit on the sets of DID L’il Masters!
The superstar had the cast and crew holding on to their breath with all the screaming and cheering as he made a grand entry, dancing atop a hydraulic press. With best buddy Farah Khan around, Salman’s wild and wacky streak simply hit the roof! Having draped the show’s coveted “golden super wings” around his neck like Superman, Salman sent the audience into guffaws and giggles as he rode a tricycle all over the stage.
Given Salman’s child-like, carefree spirit, the actor was happy to be introduced to the audience as the “17th kid on the show”. What kicked Salman the most were the power-packed dance acts presented by the talented kids who cutely tried aping his signature steps. Not about to let the roaring studio audience down, Salman dazzled the crowd with his trademark “towel dance” and ‘poongi bajana..’.
With the superstar going up on stage multiple times and matching the kids step for step, the kids hanging from Salman’s biceps, cheekily asking him questions about his latest girlfriend, the sheer chemistry and camaraderie between the 3 judges – Salman, Farah and Sandip Soparrkar, this episode of DID L’il masters will be a memorable one for all Salman Khan fans and dance enthusiasts across the country!
