The evening will commence with an opulent rath yatra wherein the lead protagonists of each show will make a grand entrance with a procession of dancers following them. The most exciting performances of the evening include a jaw-dropping magic act by India’s most popular sweethearts Manav and Archana, a fun-filled dance-off between the old-timers and the newbies of Zee and a rain-dance symbolizing the passion of “first love” by Iqbal Khan and Binny Sharma. The evening will also be peppered with comedy acts, dance performances by the cast of Zee TV’s popular primetime shows and of course, the much-awaited awards ceremony recognizing the invaluable contribution of the artistes that have driven the channel from success to success.

O2’s Indian Soap Star audition teams are one step closer to finding the next star of Zee’s award-winning Indian TV show Pavitra Rishta.

Three lucky people from Birmingham, Slough and Manchester have been picked to go head to head in the national final. Not only will the lucky winner get a part in Pavitra Rishta, watched by a staggering 60 million people, they will also be treated to a week long, 5-star, Bollywood holiday in Mumbai.

The talent, whittled down from 1,800 people, will be judged by a panel consisting of Ronan Dunne, O2 Chief Executive, Andleeb Hanif, the editor of Asian Express, and a ZEE TV programming executive.

The roadshow, which visited Glasgow, Manchester, Brent, Leicester, Birmingham, Croydon and Slough throughout November, has brought together people from all ages and backgrounds to show off their acting skills for their chance at fame.

One look at the pictures and you’ll know why she’s being touted as the Vidya Balan of the television fraternity. The strikingly pretty moon face, the same demure quality, the silky, layered hair – she’s almost a spitting image of Vidya! It’s no wonder, then, that when Farah Khan dropped in at Filmistan studio for a promotional shoot of Tees Maar Khan and caught a glimpse of Nivedita Tiwary, the choreographer-turned-movie director approached her, mistaking her for Vidya.

A fresh face from Lucknow, Nivedita will soon be seen playing the title role in Zee TV’s new show Bhagonwali- Baante Apni Taqdeer. The young actress is pleased as punch at being compared to an actress of the stature of Vidya Balan. “It’s a huge compliment to be told that I resemble Vidya Balan. I’m a die-hard fan of this gorgeous actress, have immense respect for her work and in many ways, would love to emulate her!”

The beautiful young lady is not only a promising actress, she’s also a talented writer and singer. She has a penchant for poetry and sings like a nightingale. A set insider revealed, “Nivi is an instant hit on the sets … we pester her to sing for us practically everyday and she sweetly obliges. She’s particularly good with old Hindi classics!”
